Janelle Yang
BIM Standards & Content Coordinator
California State University, Sacramento
Janelle serves as ARCHITECHNICA's BIM Standards & Content Coordinator, playing a central role in shaping the technical foundation of the firm's work. She ensures that our digital tools, content, and documentation standards remain aligned with current codes, best practices, and client expectations. Janelle leads the development and ongoing refinement of our Revit-based ecosystem—including detail libraries, family content, and project templates—creating a cohesive and reliable framework that supports consistency across all project types. By organizing and maintaining these resources within cloud-based platforms, she helps streamline project startup, improve documentation quality, and reinforce firm-wide standards.
Working closely with project teams, Janelle bridges design intent and technical execution. She collaborates with architects and project managers to verify constructability, maintain alignment between drawings and specifications, and ensure that client and district standards are consistently incorporated into both our drawings and written specifications. She also provides hands-on Revit support throughout the life of a project and participates in QA/QC efforts, helping to elevate the technical accuracy and clarity of our deliverables while reducing inefficiencies and rework across teams.
Janelle volunteers with Better World Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to spaying and neutering animals and promoting their adoption. She produces the organization's newsletter.
